Ununless you are an expert in friendship, creating strong bonds may not come easily to you. However, there are things you can do to become someone people wish to have around more frequently.
Engage with other people's interests and experiences - this will make them feel appreciated, while showing that you truly care for them as people.
Point out something you have in common with another person, such as camping, sushi or rap music - something they might enjoy doing - this will help foster feelings of closeness while providing the basis for future plans (e.g. "I've been wanting to try that new hiking trail! Would you like to join me?"). This could also serve as an introduction into future plans (e.g. "I've been wanting to check out that new hiking trail! Would you like to join me?").
At the core of any healthy friendship lies intimacy. Good friends understand each other's values, struggles and goals - don't be shy about opening up to your friend more and letting them get to know more about you - however don't overshare as this could risk damaging trust that has been built between the two of you - if something feels uncomfortable then perhaps this relationship is not the right fit for you.
